Thanks for the advice guys.  I'm riding as much as I can while on my surgical rotations, although it is admittedly not nearly as much as I would like.  I tried messing with the saddle a bit but, as a few of you said, I ended up getting a sore back and numb fingers on a recent 30 mile ride and that had never happened before even on longer rides.  So I decided to just put it back where it was, ride in aero for as long as I can until it becomes uncomfortable and then just sit up and keep riding.  I'm out of town for another few weeks for my current rotation but when I get back home I'm going to get a bike fitting just to see if anything has changed.

While the Adamo and seats like it look pretty cool and may be the way I go in the future, I think I'm going to hold off for just a bit.  Going to try the bike fit and everybody's favorite, "ride more", first.

Take the seat off and ride on the seat post. That will make you HTFU and stop whining about a seat.

I put up with pain and numbness for years.  Adamo for the last 2 months and I'm in heaven!

Can you shift your package up? So that it is all above the seat? I also love my Adamo, I had no pain before, just numbness. Now everything is cool down there.

I will repeat this again very bluntly .... at no point should you ever have your saddle below level. It doesn't matter if it is a tri bike or a road bike. The concept of fit and positioning is the same overall regardless. If you have to do that, your fit is wrong to begin with or even worse, the bike is the wrong size for what you are trying to do with it.

I've gone through fit training as well and while I know what you are saying, A degree or two to relieve pressure is not always a bad thing. Another peice of the puzzle is what type of bike is the OP on. Putting clipons on a roadie is in itself trying to do something with the fit of the bike that the bike isn't designed for. In this instance you may have to drop the nose of the saddle to make it work. If th OP is on a tri bike I'd have the saddle closer to level.

Back to the whole small change thing. One person suggested dropping the nose a half an inch. That is going to put a lot of strain on the back/shoulders/arms, just to keep from sliding off the saddle. A degree or two at the post is barely perceptible visually.
