I'm not getting off to a good start, either, because we're leaving tomorrow to go to GA for four days for a friend's funeral... I will have to be very creative to manage any training, and I'm usually not successful at that! Ideas? Oh, I also won't be able to weigh until Friday; I refuse to count on somebody else's scale, so I'll wait til we get back. |

Gunna shoot for a even 220. we will see. will be riding the bike to skule from now on, and once the weather gets to be a bit warmer and dryer i might, and i stress might, start running there. its only 1.5 miles or so. |

But I did eat a whole pizza last night! Been trying to feed my cold, and yes it finally broke into full blown sickies today. Been feeling horrible, but at least now I can focus on getting over it. Dad is hopefully going to renew membership in the morning, and I might get to the gym by Wed. Can't wait. Also, tried to do some studying, (didn't work very well) watched the Superbowl, and studied at the same time, got about 40% of it done. Have tomorrow (till 1 pm) to finish. Wish me good luck. Oh yeah, end of month goal minus 3-4 lbs. or so. We'll see how soon I can get into the gym and what I'm actually able to do, cough, cough! |

Veteran 455 Limerick, Ireland | Subject: RE: Team Skinny (Feb 09) The month of Love Hello, I can't remeber exactly what my last weighing in showed but I think it was in the area of 76kg so my goal is 73kg. I know it's very little but I have friends visiting on from 21/02 to 24/02 so it's gonna be difficult to go training as they're coming over from abroad and I'd feel guilty leaving them alone. As you can imagine there probably will be a lot of eating out as well. I'm also going to a brithparty on 15/02 and lets not forget about Valentines Day. SO if I lose 3kg I'll be happy and if somehow I manage to lose more than I'm going to be totally overjoyed. I had a very bad weekend- went to a dinenr party on Saturday (after cycling though). Food was delicious followed by a cheese cake dessert. Now all that was followed by loads and loads of wine. I had about 3 pints of water in all that but I suppose concerning the amount of wine I had that didn't really help. As you can imagine I was somwhat off on Sunday but was still trying to be good and only gave up in the afternoon when I got back home - shared a bag of crisps while sitting on my sofa (under a very warm blanky) and then had indian take-away for dinner (veggie korma, pilau rice and veggie samosas). I know, nothing to be proud of but then again I'm not doing it every weekend. I also got a bit scared on Friday as some friends are going to Cuba at the end of May for a week (which is really great) and there was a possibility I was going too which, let's be honest, is not exactly the end of the world. BUT one of the girls going is size 4 when she puts on weight after Xmas so I started panicking a bit. Now I was hoping to go somewhere nice and warm (for a change) in the summer as I thought I might be able to show myself in a swim suit in a public place at that stage without hating every second of it and ruining everybody else's day but May seemed a bit too soon. Luckily (on one hand) I'm not going so I can relax a bit. But I must confess that while the "negotiations" re holidays in Cuba were in progress I was thinking: OMG I'll just have to stop eating till May and train like a lunatic. The the more sensible part of me (it seems I actually have one) was saying: you know that's not the way to do it.It's not healthy! But then the not so sensible part of me would say: So what? Look at Louise (the size 4 girl)-how exactly do you imagine you're gonna look sitting next to her on the beach? I was torn as to what to do till Saturday afternoon until it turned out I'm not going after all. Maybe they'll bring me a postcard. Have a nice Monday! |

I think that is probably the most continuous running I've ever done. Unfortunately, shortly after, my ankle started hurting. I tried to keep walking at a slow speed but my ankle wasn't having any of it. So, I stopped. Still a little sore, but we'll see how I feel tomorrow morning. |
