if its a double yellow its a game.
If its a straight red card usually its 2 games.
sometimes more depending on the aggression.
last WC De Rossi got a 4 game suspension in the Italy - USA game.
he still got to play the final.

Thanks, Prince. The red card today made me wonder.

Is it just me or is playing the vuvuzela during a team's national anthem a little rude?

Have they been?  At least during the Argentina and Nigeria match it sounded like they stopped.

Does the England line up strike fear in the heart of the US players?....er no i doubt it...Green in goal....Lennon and Heskey...+ Milner....and the Lampard/Gerrard midfield pairing that everyone has seen and say does not work...hope Capello is right!

Shut Rooney down and this one could get tricky for England.

Yep - said it all along...England has few World class players..they just proved it. Thought US should have been more confident and taken it to England in the second half..they had more pace but didnt use it effectively.

Lots of improvement needed for England..US looks solid to advance....

Harder to be the favourite in the next games though so we shall see....

Tie game.  Both US and England will have the opportunity to advance (consider the other 2 teams are not as threatening).

I have to say the US goalie is pretty solid.  Also think England isn't playing their best.

Dempsey got lucky on the goal, but Howard looked great and the US side showed nice fitness and energy down the stretch.  We've got some fast players for sure, we just need to exploit that speed.

Nice to see Jurgen Klinnsman being one of the commentators of the Germany-Australia game.  He was one of my favourite players in the 80s.

Keep an eye on Klose in this game.

Hes been pretty good in the premiership this year.

England weren't playing their best. They still totally outplayed the USA, there was really only one other opportunity for the USA (that nice lofted croft from outside the box.  One lucky mistake cost us the game. We should have scored 2 or 3 though.
Honours even though, better than a loss.

Watched first 10 minutes, thought it looked a good match with aus.
Then it went a bit downhill for the aussies
Still, you should be watching podolski more than klose

Both Podolski and Klose are good.  Miss Ballack.  He and Klose are good partners.

Germany looks like a machine moving the ball around.  ( in a good way).   up, back, up , back, over , back over, up and a long pass as they lulled the Aussies asleep.

Don't agree with the straight red Cahill got on the challenge yesterday.  But he was the idiot that did it.  That is effectively the end of his WC career and probably the end of the Aussie bid in the WC.

On another note, Oranje are up 1-0 on a funky little own goal by Denmark.
