Ditch, nice redfish! Someday I want to fish on the DelMarva Penninsula for Redds in the surf.

Chris, nice story on the tog. I have a buddy that keeps pestering me to spear with him. I told him I would take him to some of my fishing spots in Southern RI that has plenty of offshore boulder fields to work. Lots of Striper, Sea Bass and Tog. Just need the time.

Helen, wanted to know if I have a picture from Yesterday's fishing trip of a smiling fish. Well after this shot I think I saw the fish smile a little.

Well to bust your stones since I saw the description in the photo thread. I think you only caught small bass since your thumb is all scratched up. If it were super cows your elbows would be all scraped up, lol. I have some nice ice fishing pictures to throw up here.

That fish smiled at first because he thought he was going to turn into a prince and get the lady.  Imagine his disappointment when he just got tossed back into the cold water.  haha

The scratches go up to my wrist on my de-hooking hand... but that is my lipping hand so generally only the thumb gets it.  Still learning my new camera, and it was on shutter priority from a previous low light shot, so this picture of the big guy is not actually out of focus, just shaky on a long exposure... but you get the idea:



PS - Since you mocked the biggest ROCKFISH I have caught in over a year, I have to warn you that you're only allowed to call them "bass" one time on my boat before you get to work on your swim training.

Just wanted to pass on that my nephew made it on the kids BassMaster's Nationals, but didn't catch anything during that final tourney.  Oh, well.  HE DID AWESOME, though!

Marks on thumb / wrist = unhooking fish.  The farther up the arm the better.  Always liked to be bleeding at the weigh in when I did bass tourneys!
