Day-to-day pretty boring compared to this thread. But every now and then I get to step on some pretty cool airplanes...

Like this one

And this one

And I'll be one of the first people in the world to step on board a Boeing 787 in a few weeks

Ah yes, the DreamLifter. I dealt with this guy once every couple of weeks in Anchorage. Been on it a couple times.

I wouldn't call my job unique, but I'm an Air Traffic Controller...

Lots of Aviation folks here! I work in Air Traffic Services for Nav Canada, and instruct on gliders part time for the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. So I am either watching planes or flying them.

Any Canadians, or Yankees who want to jump ship, Nav Canada only requires high school and aptitude testing for jobs making 55,00-100,000 base salary, much more with OT and premiums. Also good benefits and pension. Pretty sweet job if I do say so.

My BIL works for the Detroit Pistons as a video manager and gets to travel with the team. He was also a basketball team manager at FSU during the back to back championships and has the rings to prove it.

My Cousin is a music manager for bands like Train, Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco and has a couple of new bands he discovered that have some albums dropping in the next few weeks.

Oh my lord- my oldest daughter is a HUGE Fall out Boy Fan. I had to take her to their concert in our hometown and we did the meet n greet. It was her bday present for her 17th bday and she still talks about it two years later. We went to NY for a mom/daughter sweet 16 trip and she worked for a year to earn money to buy some of Pete Wentz's clothing line. She was sooo devastated when we got to Macy's and there was none left. If your cousin has any Fall Out Boy stuff he "needs to get rid of" I would gladly help him out and take it off his hands. I mean I always want to help others.

ray6foot7 - 2012-01-11 5:23 PM This may count as unusual or interesting.  I am a service forester in Oklahoma.  My job is basically to answer questions and give advice on trees and land management issues.  Today, before lunch, as prescribed burn consultants we got to hike around a nearby lake to inspect fire lines that were constructed last week.  Hopefully, if the weather cooperates next week, we can watch it burn, I mean oversee the burn operation.   At lunch, I donned the running shoes and did some trail running around the lake.   After lunch, I assisted two landowners.  The first needed advice on how to eradicate red cedar from his 100 acre ranch.  The second wanted me to age some of his trees and to know the history of the pecan tree.

Interesting to me as a home gardener in Oklahoma.  Laughing

Sigh! I wish I had an interesting job but I'm a desk jocky but I once held a position called Head Stretcher. It was a boring job but seriously the best title ever.

I aspire to be a Ship Wright.
