If anyone's interested,

A couple of us BT'ers (myself and jlpete98) are meeting at Longview Lake to ride the KC tri course this Saturday.  We'll be there around 8:45, hoping to head out on the bike course by 9:00.  We'll probably do one loop (12.5 miles) slow to familiarize with the course, then pick up the pace for one or two more laps.  Then we're planning on running two laps (3.1 miles ea. lap) of the run course, probably easy pace the first 3.1 then pick up the pace on the second.

I will be in the Longview Lake vicinity for meetings tomorrow morning.  Planning on riding the course right after, around 1:30, if anyone is interested(and if I can fit my bike in the trunk/back seat of my car.....dont trust my bike on my car rack unsupervised for 5 hours in Lees Summit).

Lee's Summit is kind of sketchy... along with most of Missouri...  Laughing

That almost sounds tempting... I wonder if I can plan a meeting over that way.

Ryan, this is the reason we are in outside sales.    Do it.  Nice easy 3 laps.  Done by 3:15.  Plenty of time to rest your legs for the Trolley Run.

I think I have decided to pass on the Heritage Park Tri on May 13th in order to focus on the KC Tri on the 20th.  Would anyone want to ride the KC Tri course on the weekend of the 12th-13th?  I would at least want to see the course before competing on it.  I am hoping to have a shot at qualifying for the championships at this tri and want as much advantage as I can get with course familiarity.

I might be about to make it next Friday afternoon (May 4th).  I would still be open to a ride the weekend of the 12th-13th.

I think I might be able to ride that weekend.  Remember, mothers day is that Sunday.

ran the course this afternoon.  For anyone who hasnt and wont be able to run it before the race, it is about 3/4 on gravel path.  I ran sockless and ended up with quite a bit of debris in my shoes.  Just something to be aware of.  Patrick and I will be out there frioday at 1:30 to ride a couple loops if anyone wants to join in the fun.

I will be at Longview tomorrow at 1:30 for a ride if anyone is interested. Sounds like Patrick and Ryan are possibly joking me. If interested I will either be at T1 if that parking lot is open, if not(it hasn't been) I will be at the next parking lot to the left, on the run course. Should be a nice day to play hookey.

I wasn't joking... honestly.  ha.

I may try and be out at 1 and meet up at 1:30 with anyone else in one of the parking lots.  I'll still have to make an appearance before the end of the work day.

Ryan, I think he typed "joking" when he meant to type "joining."  :-)  Regardless, I will be there at 1:30.

TriMan25 - 2012-05-03 10:56 PM I be at Longview on the Sat before Mothers Day . . .

I can do that on Saturday the 12th.  I will be driving in from Topeka.  Would 10:00 work, or do you want to get started earlier?  I might be able to make it in earlier for a quick wetsuit swim, too.  Maybe 9:00 for a swim and 9:30 or 10:00 for a bike?  being a week before the event a short swim, one loop of the bike, and one loop of the run might be a good workout.

Reece?  Jon?  Mark?  Anyone else?

That is Running with the Cows half marathon day for me. I don't think Longview allows swimming until after memorial day, except for special permission like the group on the 15th.
