I ran the local Drumstick Dash 10K, got a PR and FINALLY broke 50:00.  Although, in all fairness, this is usually the only stand-alone 10K that I run each year.  Still, a PR is a PR.

Congrats to all the PR's and good races everyone had.

Did a 5k turkey trot with the 10 year old son. No idea how fast. His first one, finished w/o walking. Proud of him and hope he gets bitten by the competition bug.

I went out and ran the Mesa Turkey Trot - 10K Run yesterday.  I ran the 1 mile fun run with my kids, 7 & 9, then ran the 10k afterwards.  Lot's of fun, going to make a tradition.

Long Grove Turkey Trot - 8k (ie 5 mi). 30:53. So-so day for me, but fun event to do. First time at this race, and will keep it in mind for the future.

Think Andrew Starykowicz was volunteering here. I didn't want to bother him as he was busy getting things ready. He does live in this area.

I didn't, because the 10k between our house and our thanksgiving destination is run by a club that annoyed me at the last race, and I am petty that way. But we are not terribly far from this race that I had many friends in, and wish I had signed up. Next year. It's a 9 miler, and got over 1600 people this year. It goes back over 100 years and claims to be the 4th oldest road race in the US. Www.runfordiamonds.com

Prospect Park Track Club's annual 5-mile turkey trot. I assumed it was a 5k until a couple of days ago. Probably should have read the entry form a little more closely.

First action back after breaking my elbow.  5mi/46min.  Slow, but I've run 2x since breaking that elbow at the end of Sept, and those were 2mi.  I was happy with the time and STOKED to be back active.

Chosen trot 5K.  Now timing or much of anything but a guy standing on top of car yelling "GO".

It was 10 bucks going to a local food bank.  Did it with my wife, KenJ, sister, 2 nieces, nephew and a grand nephew and 300 other friends.

I ran a turkey trot with my wife. I thought it was a 'race' but they didn't time it or kept track or results yet we had bib numbers on? It was supposed to be a 5k but on my Garmin it was 3.6 miles. I ran with the stroller and averaged 7' pace. My wife averaged 6'07 pace. So a good workout but disappointed that they didn't keep track of time. If they had mentioned that on their website we would have done the other turkey trot in Bend.

My son and I ran the York YMCA Turkey Trot along with 3,942 other people.  I ran a personal best in spite of a HM only 5 days earlier.  I didn't make the podium, but was still very happy with 8th of 194 in my AG.

My son and I ran back-to-back 5K's in the Oklahoma City area. We are visiting friends (up from Fort Worth). The first one was on Thanksgiving morning in Edmond - I set a new PR - my first time to run sub 8:00/mile pace. Of course, my 13 year old beat me handily! The second race was in downtown OKC on Friday morning. This was going to be our recovery run. For some reason, even though I raced a half-marathon two weeks ago, ran a 15-miler on Sunday, and set a PR the day before, I felt great once I got going and I thought, "WTH? Let's see what happens!" I set a new PR again

The best part was I had several friends from my tri club up here running the Friday race, too - we all medaled! It was awesome to have all of us Fort Worth triathletes (my son, too!) holding medals at the end. Fort Worth had a good day

I may have to move to Oklahoma - apparently I am much faster here But, I am pretty sure I have gained weight - they put on quite a spread up here!

Ran the local 5 mile TurkeyTrot with my daughter, friends, and about 1,500 people between all the races.  39:45, pretty happy with my overall time, but splits were all over the board.  65th / 400 in the 5 mile division.

Fun event, we got our picture taken with the giant Turkey that was running.

Local 5K ... Turkey Strut with about 1,200 others.

Pretty happy with my 21:03. Not so happy with my 3rd consecutive 4th place AG finish though.

Lifetime Turkey Day 5k in Phoenix.  Some dead training legs still managed to carry me to a 18:58 which, thanks to a lack of speedys, was 1st AG and 16th OA.  Had an absolute blast.

I wanted to do the local 4-mile Turkey Trot but it has gotten to be too big with poor parking so it takes up "half" the day.  I found my t-shirt from the same race when I ran in it 25 years ago so planned on wearing it but just decided to do my own thing from the house since I didn't want to invest the time required for the race.

Did a nice quiet race, just me and 3200+ others!

Glad to see so many out there, always amazed at how many walkers start at the front.

Yep!  I did this one too.  I didn't notice any walkers near me though.  My favorite memory from this year was that my wife did her first race.  She only walked it but had a goal of under an hour for the 4 mile, hilly course.........She made it.....57:18

The Galloping Gobbler is my favorite race for some reason.

I went 26:13 for 4 miles and 81/3248 OA and 1/124 in my AG.  Last year I was faster and placed lower (3rd AG)

My wife and I ran the local 5k with about 2,500 of our closest friends. I went out way too fast but was happy with my overall time of 20:50. It was my first 5k race and a nice baseline going forward. Next year's goal is to beat the 13 year old boy who was just ahead of me the entire race. I'm coming for you, Jack Woods!
