next split will be bad as well . its the same part as the 10km/h one.  a guy from tri club did 35km/h avg for ride . did 15.57km/h for 131km split and 57.51km/h for 155km split

Done with the last one. Updates are around 20 minutes behind. Now with the great tail wind. Go Yanti

Arrrgh! I-pad out of batteries so couldn't track. Go Yanti go! Don't get caught by the cut-off monster!

Arrrgh! She has 10K to go; looks like 42 minutes to do it. Guesing she's praying to the God of No Flats! Glad it's not me....I might be in trouble at that point! But should be doable after her 8-hour trainer ride.

First run split. She's on the move. Hopefully things will begin to cool down. It is snowing and 20F here so I'm thinking cool thoughts.

Unless she picks up the speed she's not going to make a cutoff somewhere--10 min/km for the remainder would put her over 17 hours. Would not want to be in her shoes! Guessing if nothing's amiss she's just going to try to get as far as she can and try again at IMNZ? Go Yanti go!!! Smudgee the Gecko Slayer and I are cheering for you.

Needs < 9:00/km from here. You can do it Yanti. Just keep looking at the card! We are still here.

Guessing she's going to keep at it until/unless she gets pulled off the course due to missing a cutoff. GO YANTI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice, sun set. Hope it's nice out.

I wonder what happened.  Splits show to the 21k point and then stop.  You had an AMAZING day, Yanti with the chop and the winds and then the heat!  You should be SO PROUD of yourself!

She's still going. Not due to the next split for a bit, but also the site may have stopped updating.... the "ticker" has been at 14:10 for some time now.

Aaaargh! I'm "hitting the wall" trying to stay awake till the bitter (or happy) end!  Haven't done an Ironman so don't really get it about the cutoffs. Do they just make everyone stop on the course at 17 hours, or are there cutoffs at the other time points en route? What if somebody just keeps going?

New Update below. Her pace has picked up quite a bit. If she can do 10 miles in 1:20, she'll make the 17 hours, assuming I read this right, and my math is correct. Tough road, but she is still out there giving it her all. Go Yanti!

Go Yanti, go!  Something tells me she's not up to nine (I think; 14.5 km) miles in 1:20 (not sure I could do that right now, and probably not in the last ten miles of an IM), but she's going to keep going until time's up!

She would have to do 8 minute miles, or 6.7/km... eehhh... don't listen to us Yanti, just keep going. I'm wore out just tracking!
